WHY IS SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE PLAYED ON SUNDAY?

Author: I do not get it if it is called saturday night live it should be played upon saturday, though it is played upon sunday live, i do not get it can any one assistance me out plz, if it is called saturday night live since isn’t played upon saturday live, since it is regularly played sunday live.

In Washington it runs at 11:30 Saturday night and is an hour show on NBC. !E network on cable shows repeats several days a week at several different times including 12am on sunday nights. Maybe you’ve just got your day wrong.
well,I am not that sure.
It depends where you live. If you live on the east coast the first half hour is on Saturday and the next hour is on Sunday morning. But if you live in Central, Mountain, or Pacific timezones, the entire show takes place on Saturday night.
